Maison Maya is a family café and day care opening soon in Barcelona. Great coffee and good food for you; gentle play, learning and care for your children, all under one roof.
The idea
Somewhere you both want to be.
Parenthood in a city is wonderful, and sometimes a little lonely. We’re building the place we always wished existed: a warm, beautiful café where children are genuinely welcome, and a caring space next door where they can play, explore and be looked after.
Stay for a cortado while they play, leave them with our team for a few hours, or meet other families at a weekend workshop.
The café
Specialty coffee, fresh pastries and simple seasonal plates, with high chairs, a buggy corner and a children’s menu that isn’t an afterthought.
The play room
A calm, light-filled space with wooden toys, books and open-ended play, always within sight of the café so parents can relax nearby.
Day care
Caring, qualified educators for half or full days, so you can work, run errands or simply finish a coffee while it’s still hot.
Workshops
Music, messy art, storytelling in Catalan, Spanish, English and French, and sessions for parents on sleep, food and the early years.
